American Heart AssociationThe American Heart Association strides to continue the fight against heart disease and stroke in the Louisville community. Through research, public and professional education and advocacy, the funds are invested wisely. This year the American Heart Association will fund $1.3 million of biomedical research to the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky. Ultimately, the AHA is focused on four urgent health issues: Childhood Obesity, Women & Heart Disease, Patient Treatment Guidelines & African-Americans & Heart Disease.
