Kentucky Hemophilia Foundation
What is Hemophilia?Hemophilia and similar bleeding disorders are genetic illnesses that result in spontaneous and prolonged bleeding due to the lack of clotting factors in the blood. These are lifelong conditions that can be treated with clotting factor administered into the vein. Because bleeding is frequent and needed treatment expensive, affected families struggle to lead normal lives. There is no cure.
About KHF
The Kentucky Hemophilia Foundation (KHF) is a statewide health agency serving all those affected by hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, and similar bleeding disorders. One of the most important things we do is to help the newly diagnosed and their families cope with the many life changes that these disorders can cause.
We need your help to continue making all of our services possible and ask that you consider a gift to support our fund drive. Your contribution will help extend peace of mind to parents of children with bleeding disorders, knowing resources and assistance are available from the Kentucky Hemophilia Foundation.
